What Exactly Is, "Self-Directed Coaching?"
Self Directed Coaching is a personal quest that is different for each
participant. While we examine and study each facet of the
same
concepts along this journey, it is the individual character of each
person that provides the path to fulfillment.
This plan for the future has been organized into ten different Self
Directed lessons. Each is unique in how it draws
out the
special aspect that the participant offers at each level.
Because during the first Self Directed Coaching lesson, much of the
time will be spent putting your mind into the proper framework to
discover and develop the changes you want to make with your life, these
mind sessions will be called “Thought Patterns,”
and are
numbered so we can refer back to them in later lessons. Sometimes these
are followed by written exercises.
In Self Directed Coaching lesson 2; You have begun to flex
your
self-control muscles, and the stronger you get; the more you can propel
yourself in the future. Self control is a leadership quality that you
will need in order to “Get Ahead” Closely tied to
self-control is discipline. There is no need for a long discourse on
how important discipline is to a human being.
In lesson 3 you will learn that throughout history philosophers have
always said “know thyself” which many of us seem to
interpret as “Know thy negative self.“
You are more
in touch now with your strengths since you completed Lesson 2. It is
far more important and life altering to know your weaknesses.
Lesson 4 introduces you to the real world. Without the tens of
thousands of years of programming in your genetic material, you would
not stand a chance of surviving a day. A pleasant thought indeed.
However, this concept should provoke one reassuring thought process. In
a survival of the fittest world, I am here. I am now. My genetic
material has survived and my job is to take it to its next level.
As each of the ten Self Directed Coaching lessons are assimilated, you will become
increasingly more aware of the change you are bringing about.
As
you implement the skills learned in each lesson, those changes will
start to take shape.
